Two men plead guilty to robbery at Swansea Crown Court

TWO MEN from Bridgend appeared at Swansea Crown Court today, charged with robbery. Brandon Dobbs, 28, of Park Street, and Morgan Kemble, 20, of Church Acre, admitted their involvement in the theft of a mobile phone and clothing during an incident on Wednesday (Nov 6).

Dobbs also faced an additional charge of assault by beating in connection with the same incident. He pleaded not guilty to this charge and will contest it at a future hearing.

The court heard contrasting details about the defendants. Kemble, previously of good character, has recently faced significant challenges. Diagnosed with ADHD, he has been battling depression and anxiety, compounded by an eviction earlier this year.

Dobbs, however, has a history of criminal activity. During the summer, he appeared at Cardiff Crown Court charged with affray, burglary, and possession of a bladed article.

Her Honour Judge Catherine Richards ordered a pre-sentence report for Kemble to better understand his personal circumstances. Both men have been remanded in custody and are due to return to court on Monday (Jan 6) 2025.
