Cardiff Crown Court to to deal with ‘joy rider who injured man’

A NINTETEEN year old joy rider from Cardiff had his case sent to the crown court on Thursday (Mar 4) for sentencing – such were the seriousness of the charges.

Cameron Warren-Lee Falkingam Smith, of Litchfield Court in Tudor Street, appeared before the city’s bench where he admitted a charge of driving without insurance and without a driving licence. He also indicated he would plead guilty to theft of a car.

The court heard that on January 24 illegally driven vehicle was involved in a smash, in which one Louis Thomas sustained injuries.

Court papers indictate the incident took place on Aberdaron Road.

Smith was remanded in custody by magistrates due to the nature and seriouness of the offences.
