BBC SCAM SAFE week is proud to announce a week of upcoming roadshows in collaboration with Morning Live and BBC radio.
The event will be held at Central Square, Cardiff on Tuesday November 26, from 9am to 1pm.
The roadshow aims to raise awareness about scams and fraud, providing vital support and education.
Radio Wales and Radio Cymru will be broadcasting outside Central Square as part of the BBC Scam Safe Roadshow, offering real-time advice and resources to listeners.
They will be joined by Matt Allwright from Morning Live, representatives from major high street banks, advisors from local university student finance teams, Age Cymru scam advisors and cyber experts from local police forces.
Staff and the public can get expert advice as well as take part in scam savvy quizzes and discover just how to keep your data safe. There will be interactive activities to engage with on site, such as the We Fight Fraud team who are encouraging people to bring along their own devices to see what data is recoverable from them. And the BBC Cyber Van which will be open to the public.
New for 2024 and held in venues from Cardiff to Cumbria, The Scam Safe Roadshow is a collaboration between Morning Live and BBC Local Radio.
The roadshow is being delivered in partnership with the BBC Scam Safe partners: Stop Scams UK, Age Cymru, NASMA (the National Association of Student Money Advisers) and The Open University. It will feature representatives from major high street banks, advisors from local university student finance teams, Age UK scam advisors and cyber experts from local police forces.
