A NEW university term has begun for first-year students studying a three-year BA (Hons) Aviation Management course, delivered by Cardiff Met University, in partnership with Cardiff Airport and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
Students have been given a warm Welsh welcome, behind the scenes insight into vital day-to-day operations and inspirational talks from Airport colleagues.
The initial course started in September 2022 and provides unparalleled understanding of all aspects of aviation law, aviation strategic management, aerospace safety, airline management and employment issues relating to the industry.
Students benefit from close working relationships with Airport colleagues and work experience modules planned across a variety of areas.
Many students who have studied at the Airport in recent years have documented their time gaining invaluable experience. Some have gone on to secure permanent positions at Cardiff Airport, helping us to provide excellent standards of customer and operational service.
Spencer Birns, CEO of Cardiff Wales Airport, said: “We are delighted to welcome a great third intake of enthusiastic students to the Airport.
“Our teams thoroughly enjoy working closely with the students, helping them get a deeper understanding of safety and security and wider Airport operations.
“This is a unique course delivered in partnership with the world renowned Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
“It’s part of our masterplan to provide excellent further education for the next generation of talented people who want to work in the aviation industry.”
