CCTV footage released to find man who used rape victims bank cards

POLICE investigating a rape near Talbot Street, Pontcanna, Cardiff, want to speak to the man in this CCTV. 

Detective Sergeant Chris Liddon from South Wales Police said: “One man has been charged with rape and is due to stand trial later this year.

“However, there is a second unknown male in the area at the time who is captured on CCTV during the early hours of Monday, December 12 using the victim’s bank cards at a nearby petrol station.

“He could potentially have important information regarding this incident and would urge him or anyone who knows him, to please come forward.”

Police are appealing to the public to identify the man who may be able to provide key evidence in the case

Luke Spinks, 29, from Ely, has been charged with rape, theft, and fraud by false representation.

He is remanded in custody for a trial at Cardiff Crown Court in June.
