A FAMILY who lost everything has appealed for help after a devastating fire destroyed their home in Saint Mellons, Cardiff.
On Tuesday (Dec 19), the blaze tore through the home of John Mwangalika, his wife, and their three children, leaving them with nothing but the clothes on their backs. The fire has turned their lives upside down just days before Christmas.
In response to this tragedy, Jemma McCarthy—whose brother is John’s best friend—has launched a GoFundMe campaign to help the family rebuild their lives. The fundraiser aims to provide immediate relief, replace essential items, and restore a sense of safety for the family.
The goal is to raise £2,000. So far, £1,390 has been donated thanks to the generosity of kind-hearted individuals. However, more support is urgently needed to reach the target and ease the burden on the family during this incredibly difficult time.
Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a difference. For those unable to donate, sharing the fundraiser with friends, family, or on social media can also have a significant impact.
Jemma McCarthy expressed her heartfelt thanks to everyone who has already donated or shared the campaign. To support John and his family, please visit the GoFundMe page HERE.
