Marking 15 years of supporting children and young people

NSPCC CYMRU’S National Hub in Cardiff, Diane Engelhardt House, approaches its 15th anniversary.

This milestone is a celebration of the dedication and commitment of their staff and volunteers who have worked to support children and families in need.

Diane Engelhardt House has been a beacon of hope and support, providing a range of essential services, including Childline, which has delivered over 50,000 counselling sessions from their Cardiff base.

These sessions can be a lifeline for children and young people, offering them a safe space to talk about any worries and receive the support they need.

In addition to Childline, the hub has been home to numerous services which have benefitted thousands of children and families since 2009.

Carl Harris, NSPCC Cymru Assistant Director, said: “This celebration would not be complete without acknowledging Diane Engelhardt, after whom the building is named.

“Diane Engelhardt has been a steadfast supporter of our services in Wales for almost 20 years, and along with her husband Henry, their contributions have made a significant difference to the lives of many.

“Thank you to everyone who has been a part of this journey. Your hard work and dedication have made Diane Engelhardt House a cornerstone of our community and a symbol of hope for so many.

“Here’s to many more years of fighting for every childhood.”
