CAREERS WALES has announced the nine winners of its Valued Partner Awards 2025 at an award ceremony held in Cardiff on Wednesday (Jan 15).
Among the winners were two organisations from west Wales. Canolfan S4C Yr Egin and Hywel Dda University Health Board were recognised for their outstanding contribution to supporting learners and connecting classroom learning to careers.

The companies were awarded in:
- Best Promoter of Welsh in the Workplace – Canolfan S4C Yr Egin
- Outstanding Achievement Award – Hywel Dda University Health Board

Canolfan S4C Yr Egin has done exceptional work in promoting the use of Welsh language in the workplace and highlighting its value as a skill for employers. Hywel Dda University Health Board provided many rich experiences for pupils by promoting careers in the NHS and inspiring young people to explore opportunities in healthcare.
The prestigious Valued Partner Awards celebrate businesses that have gone above and beyond to inspire and support pupils across Wales over the last year. The awards are a chance for Careers Wales to recognise the vital role employers play in empowering young people with careers and work-related experiences.
The winners were revealed live by event host Sian Lloyd at The Neuadd, within the Senedd in Cardiff Bay.

Llinos Jones, Engagement Manager at Canolfan S4C Yr Egin, said “Winning this award means a great deal to us, as we work closely with Careers Wales to engage young people with the world of work. They are the future of the workplace, and it’s vital that we dedicate time and share our expertise to help develop them into skilled professionals for the industry. At S4C Yr Egin, we operate through the medium of Welsh every day, so it’s fantastic to showcase this to students and highlight the importance of the Welsh language in our industry.”
Amanda Glanville, Assistant Director of People Development at Hywel Dda University Health Board, said: “It’s absolute honour to receive this Outstanding Achievement award on behalf of Hywel Dda. We believe that investing in people is at the heart of delivering healthcare and building stronger communities. That’s why we’re so proud to be recognised for our work in careers development and workforce innovation. This award is particularly meaningful because it acknowledges our efforts to build pathways, opportunities and partnerships that inspire and support the next generation.”
Nikki Lawrence, chief executive at Careers Wales, said: “Congratulations to all the winners of this year’s Valued Partner Awards, and to everyone who was shortlisted. These businesses have delivered exceptional work-related experiences, helping young people across Wales to build skills, knowledge, and confidence for their futures. It’s a pleasure to recognise and thank them for their commitment, and we look forward to continuing this important work together.”
Jack Sargeant, Minister for Culture, Skills and Social Partnership, said: “This recognition highlights the dedication and impact Welsh businesses have in shaping the futures of young people.
