A 21-YEAR-OLD car salesman from Stoke Gifford in Gloucestershire appeared at Cardiff Magistrates Court on Tuesday (Mar 16) charged with the rape and serious sexual assault of a woman aged 16 or over.
It is alleged that Tadas Gaciauskas, 21, of Barnes Court, Whitley Mead, carried out the offences in Cardiff in September 2019.
No pleas were entered and Gaciauskas appeared only to confirm his name and address.
The defendant’s attending solicitor was Tarick Sadiq of J A Hughes Solicitors.
The defendant was granted unconditional bail and ordered to appear at Cardiff Crown Court on April 13 for the next stage in the legal proceedings.
Gaciauskas was studying as a sports student at Cardiff Metropolitan University when the alleged offending took place.
