Lack of Arabic interpreter stalls sexual touching case

A MAN living in Cardiff has been re-bailed with conditions after pleading not guilty to sexually touching a woman who did not consent.

Amhed Anzizi, 31, of Mackintosh Place, Roath’s trial could not go ahead because of lack of an Arabic interpreter.

The Kuwaiti national had appeared in front of Cardiff Magistrates’ Court on Thursday (Mar 4), but the case will now go ahead by summary trial on April 8.
The alleged offence is said to have taken place at Duke Street, Cardiff on September 13, 2020.
