Man drowns at Cardiff’s Roath Park lake

A MAN tragically lost his life after entering the water at Roath Park Lake, as reported by the police.

Emergency services were called to the scene on Saturday evening (Jun 17), where concerns were raised about the welfare of a 46-year-old man who had not returned from the water.

South Wales Police confirmed on Sunday that the man’s body had been recovered. The incident is not being treated as suspicious, and a file is being prepared for HM Coroner.

Police, fire, and ambulance services, along with a helicopter, responded to the distress call. Lake Road West was temporarily closed, and access to the park was restricted.
