Monmouth and Cwmbran Performing Arts Students learn skills for life on New Theatre stage in Cardiff

STUDENTS from Stagecoach Performing Arts in Monmouth and Cwmbran gave a spectacular performance of a lively theatre piece, ‘Bop Til You Drop’  along with a taste of tropical nights with renditions of Barry Manilow’s Copacabana, at the New Theatre Cardiff on Sunday. 

The ‘Bop Til You Drop’ performance saw students from Monmouth perform a medley of classics such as ‘Bop to the Top’, ‘Wild Cats’, ‘Start of Something New’, ‘Getcha Head in the Game’, ‘Stick to the Status Quo’ and ‘We’re All in This Together’. 

Whilst students from Cwmbran brought a taste of the tropics to the stage with a performance to Barry Manilow’s ‘Copacabana’, ‘Just Arrived’ and ‘Dancing Fool’. 

Events like these give students a chance to shine on stage as well as the opportunity to hone their skills and confidence.

“Knowing the work that went into the performance, I am super proud of them and the strides they have all made in their confidence to bring their talent to the big stage.”
