A DOUBLE garage with a flat above it built two years ago could be used as an Air BnB holiday let.

Julie Haward, of Mathern Estates, has applied for permission to change the use of the flat at Hill Farm Cottage, which is off the A48 at Pwllmeyric Hill, south west of Chepstow, for use as an Air BnB.

According to Ms Haward, of the same address, the flat would be let either to a one car family, or couple or to parties of no more than three people and no alterations would be made to the layout of the flat that was built in 2023.

Two objections have been received by Monmouthshire County Council’s planning department, which is considering the application, with concerns raised over use of the private access road from the A48 which is also used by those walking the public right of way to Mounton Brook.

Both comments have stated the access road already serves five properties which they say is the maximum allowed.
