PLANS have been approved by Neath Port Talbot council for a house in multiple occupation (HMO) in the town of Port Talbot.
Developers were given the green light in Decembe, to go ahead with a change of use from a residential property on Park View Port Talbot, in to a new five-bedroom HMO.
The decision was made by officers from the local authority and brought before members at a recent planning committee, as part of a series of delegated decisions made between November 18 and December 9.
It will see the former residential property, which is said to be vacant and located near Talbot Memorial Park around a mile from the centre of Port Talbot, turned into shared accommodation.
A notice of approval for the plans read: “It is considered that the proposal represents an appropriate form of development that would have no unacceptable impact on visual amenity, neighbour amenity, parking and highway safety, biodiversity, flooding and contaminated land.”
