Leading period care B Corp moves business to South Wales

GRACE & GREEN, a leading sustainable period care business, has relocated its fulfilment premises and operations to Newport, to provide new jobs in the area and support the Welsh Government in its commitment to end period poverty.

The move will create up to 15 new jobs over the next three to five years, with the first hire already in place and the second under offer, reflecting the company’s dedication to building a locally rooted team.

Grace & Green is already a key partner in fulfilling the Welsh Government’s Period Poverty Action Plan, to date supporting over 15,000 young people across Wales by delivering organic, eco-friendly period products of their choice, straight to their door. Working with authorities across Wales, including: Bridgend, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire, Caerphilly, Flintshire, and with NHS Wales, this move is a significant step towards Grace & Green’s goal to improve access to period care in Wales. The company hopes that as awareness grows, more councils will seek to partner on this vital cause.

To ensure that no one is left without essential menstrual products over the festive season, the entire Grace & Green team of nine visited the Newport facility, preparing and packing bundles which are set to be distributed via Welsh councils, providing vital provisions ahead of Christmas.

Grace & Green recently won the Social Value category at the prestigious Go Awards Wales for its dedication to reducing period poverty across the region, and the business offers free educational information, including a Welsh-language booklet, to help young people learn about periods and puberty. Attracting this climate-neutral organisation, which is the highest scoring B Corp in its sector globally, to Wales’ business ecosystem, is thought to be another step towards the Welsh Government’s ambitious goal to reach net zero by 2050.

Frances Lucraft, Grace & Green CEO and Founder, commented: “Moving our operations and fulfilment to Wales is a bold and exciting move for Grace & Green. And with the Welsh Government’s firm commitment to ending period poverty and working towards net zero, it feels like the right place for us to be.”

“There’s huge scope for us to grow here in Newport, and this move underscores our commitment to sustainability, job creation, and access to menstrual care, as we challenge the stigma and taboos surrounding menstrual health throughout Wales and beyond.”
