A MAN who has been charged with the murder of 47-year-old Matthew Thomas is due in court today (Jul 18).
Matthew Thomas was attacked near The Arch nightclub in Neath in the early hours of Friday morning.
South Wales Police confirmed that he was taken to hospital but sadly died on Saturday.
A 37-year-old man from Hampshire has been charged with murder and is due to appear at Swansea Crown Court.
Police have appealed for anyone with any information about what happened to come forward.
The force said Mr Thomas’ family is being supported by officers and that they had been asked to be left alone to grieve at this time.
