A LOCAL developer has donated £2,000 to the youth section of Llantwit Fardre Football Club as part of its Community Champions scheme.
Persimmon Homes East Wales, the company behind The Parish development at Capel Llanilltern, presented the donation to Llantwit Fardre FC Under 11’s at the club’s facilities. The funds will be used to enhance training and changing facilities, reinforcing the club’s commitment to nurturing young talent in the community.
Llantwit Fardre Football Club has been a cornerstone of the local sporting community for decades since 1958, offering opportunities for boys and girls from the age of six to develop their footballing skills in a supportive and inclusive environment. With over 300 active mini, junior and youth players, the club plays a vital role in fostering a love for the sport and encouraging healthy lifestyles among young people.
The donation was made through Persimmon’s Community Champions scheme, which awards £24,000 annually to commendable organisations in the areas where the company operates. Recent beneficiaries include Creigiau Primary School, Show Racism the Red Card and St Fagans Cricket Club.
The five-star housebuilder’s live local development at the Parish @ Llanilltern Village has quality new homes available for local people from £189,995.
