TWO 17-year-olds have been arrested after a 41-year-old man was allegedly stabbed near a playing field in Cardiff.
South Wales Police say they were called to an incident near Western Leisure Centre, Cardiff, at approximately 9:45 today (Monday, July 11).
Following reports of a stabbing, the teenagers were arrested. The man is believed to be in a stable condition.
Police have commented that a knife has been recovered and investigations into the incident are ongoing.
Eyewitnesses claimed the incident occurred at 9:30am and that police and an ambulance were present on the scene.
Part of the playing field adjacent to the leisure centre off Caraeu Lane had been cordoned off, the cordon has since been removed.
A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 9.52am today, Monday 11 July, to an incident on Caerau Lane, Cardiff.
“We sent a rapid response car and an emergency ambulance to the scene, and one person was taken to the University Hospital of Wales.”
