Follow the Under-20 Six Nations on S4C and BBC Cymru

S4C and BBC Wales will show live coverage of every match in the 2021 Under20 Six Nations Championship.

With this year’s Championship being held at Cardiff Arms Park over five match days spread over four weeks, every game will be shown live on television and online

Rounds one and five will be shown live on the BBC by Scrum V Live, while S4C’s Clwb Rygbi Rhyngwladol series will bring live coverage of rounds two, three and four, with English commentary available.

The tournament gets underway on Saturday, June 19, when Wales take on Italy and ends on Tuesday, July 13, which will see Wales take on Scotland in their final game.

Every Wales game will be broadcast live on S4C and BBC Two Wales, while the remaining matches will be shown on S4C Clic and BBC iPlayer. BBC Cymru will produce coverage of all fifteen matches.

Gareth Rhys Owen, Clwb Rygbi and Scrum V Live presenter, said: “The Under-20s Six Nations gives us a glimpse of the future of rugby. No doubt we’ll see some new names making their mark in this year’s Championship.

“With the new format, and the matches all being played at the Arms Park, there is a different buzz about this year’s competition.”

Sue Butler, S4C Sports Commissioner said: “S4C will be showing nine matches from this year’s Championship.

“We missed the Under-20s on our screens back in February and March and are delighted to see the Championship with us for the summer. It’s a fantastic opportunity for the young players to showcase their talents to a wider audience, and we’re looking forward to seeing all six teams in action.”

Sian Gwynedd, Head of Content Production for BBC Cymru Wales said: “It’s incredibly exciting that every game of this Championship is going to be available for viewers to watch free to air on BBC Two Wales and S4C.

“It forms part of a brilliant summer of sport which will keep fans on the edge of their seats as the tension unfolds. I can’t wait!”
