GORSEINON, Felinfoel and Whitland were amongst the winners in League 1 West on Saturday (Nov 13) as the league season made a welcome return.
Gorseinon were 34-15 winners away at Pembroke. The visitors held a slender lead at the break but they pushed on in the second half to seal the win.
Pembroke’s try scorers were Lewys Gibby and James Jones while Jared Sherratt, making his debut for the first team, added one conversion and a penalty.
Elsewhere, Felinfoel were 39-17 winners over Penclawdd and they top the table after the first round of games.
Newcastle Emlyn were 24-19 winners away at Gowerton
