WREXHAM AFC has confirmed the deadline day signing of Bryce Hosannah from Leeds United on a free transfer, on a two-year deal.

The right-back, 22, has been with Leeds since 2017, progressing from the Club’s under-23 set-up before spending time on loan with Bradford City last season.

Hosannah, a versatile wing-back, becomes the tenth new addition to Phil Parkinson’s squad during the transfer window.

And on signing for Wrexham, he said: “It’s clear to everyone that knows about the Club that there is a project going on and the Club’s ambition moving forward was something that really attracted me.

“I’ve had a number of conversations with the manager and the way he wants to play and the role he sees me having in the team is something that will work really well. I’m excited now to prove it on the pitch.

“The move happened quite quickly, but now I’m excited to get my first training session done and get going.”

Lambeth-born Hosannah started his career in Crystal Palace’s Academy, before moving to Leeds in 2017.

Hosannah was a regular for the Leeds Under-23 team, and went on loan to Bradford last year where he made 11 appearances in all competitions.

And on his signing, manager Phil Parkinson said: “I am delighted to welcome Bryce to the Club. He’s a good addition to the squad.

“He’s a young player with pace and energy and we’re looking forward to working with him this season.”
