Interested companies invited to tender for new digital platform

LLESIANT DELTA WELLBEING is tendering for a new alarm receiving platform and monitoring system.

The company, which is owned by Carmarthenshire County Council, provides assistive technology and proactive monitoring to support older and vulnerable people to live more independently.

Since it was formed in 2018, Llesiant Delta Wellbeing has expanded its services across Wales using innovative technology to provide a range of solutions in the health and social care sector.

Its two Alarm Receiving Centres (ARC) in Llanelli and Carmarthen supports more than 35,000 clients via its Technology Enabled Care (TEC) monitoring platform, as well as providing out-of-hours support and disaster recovery services for 12 local authorities and a wide range of housing associations and commercial organisations.

The company works very closely with local and national health and social care partners to deliver both standard and new innovative TEC services to support patients leaving acute settings as well as in the community. It is also working with businesses and academia to carry out research to see Technology Enabled Care further advance into mainstream care and in developing advanced cutting-edge technologies.

Llesiant Delta Wellbeing has recently launched an initiative to deliver new patient monitoring services within the health board and introduce new response services across Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire. Therefore it must ensure that its services and infrastructure are able to integrate new technologies and systems to allow as much integration as possible with other health and social care systems as possible.

Head of Technologies at Llesiant Delta Wellbeing Paul Faulkner said: “We handle an average of over a million calls a year, from some of the most vulnerable in our society. Our service has significantly evolved in recent years offering bespoke, reactive and proactive services to our communities, corporate customers and health and social care services.

“As the UK moves toward a digital telephony system by 2025, the effect on Technology Enabled Care and our service will change significantly. It will see a vast improvement in the technology that Delta can operate and offer, as well as the information that we can gather that will significantly move forward data aggregation which will hugely benefit health and social care teams in understanding people’s health in our communities.

“As part of this Delta will be changing its monitoring system to a new digital one in 2023. Working with the best monitoring system providers and specialist data aggregation companies will ensure that Delta’s service is at the cutting edge of what is capable now and continues to evolve and adapt during the 2020s and beyond.”

Companies interested in becoming our digital systems transformation partner are being invited to tender via Sell2Wales. The deadline for submissions is November 24. The procurement exercise will continue until the end of 2022 and will see an improved, digital platform in place by April 2023.
