A TEENAGE boy has died after getting into difficulty while swimming in the River Tawe.
South Wales Police have confirmed that they received a call on Tuesday (May 24) at around 6pm to a report that a group of children were swimming in the river and one had not been seen to leave.
Ambulance, Police and the Coastguard were involved in the search and a body was pulled from the water but could not be saved.
A police spokesperson confirmed that the family have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
A spokesperson added: “HM coroner has been informed and an investigation into the circumstances of the incident is ongoing.”
