Aberglasney photograph rewarded in International Garden Photographer of the year Competition

ABERGLASNEY is delighted to announce its photographer, Nigel McCall, has been recognised in the Beautiful Gardens category of the International Garden Photographer of the Year (IGPOTY) competition for his stunning image ‘The Rose Path’ taken in the Gardens.

IGPOTY brings together the best garden, plant, flower and botanical photography from across the world with over 18,000 entries from over 50 countries. The competition started in 2008 and continues to be one of the world’s most respected photography competitions and exhibitions.

The image of Aberglasney’s ‘Rose Path’ taken by Nigel McCall was announced as a finalist in the ‘Beautiful Gardens’ category. Finalist photographs, including Nigel’s, will be shown in various combinations and collections in the competition’s exhibitions which will tour the UK. The exhibition schedule can be seen here: https://igpoty.com/photography-exhibitions/

Nigel McCall said, “I am pleased to have been recognised once again in this year’s International Garden Photographer of the Year awards. I take photos of the Gardens for pleasure rather than reward but it is always heart-warming when given accolades for the hobby I enjoy doing so much.”

Nigel McCall’s breath-taking images of Aberglasney Gardens have won several awards from IGPOTY over the years.

A collection of Nigel’s award-winning photographs of the Gardens through the seasons and over the past few years, are currently on display in an Exhibition in Aberglasney’s Mansion House.
