Carmarthenshire school competition winners see posters installed on building site

COMPETITION winners at a Carmarthenshire school have seen their posters installed at a nearby building site in Cross Hands.

As part of the housebuilder’s commitment and engagement with the local community, Persimmon Homes had tasked pupils at Ysgol Gynradd Cross Hands primary school to design a health and safety poster for display on the site.

The six winning posters have been erected at the entrance to Parc Cerrig where they were unveiled last week in the company of the pupils by Carmarthenshire Council Leader and local councillor, Cllr Darren Price.

Commenting, Stuart Phillips, Managing Director at the West Wales region, said: “We were delighted to welcome local school children to our Parc Cerrig development and to be joined for the poster unveiling by Carmarthenshire’s Council Leader, Cllr Darren Price.

“The competition winners designed some superb posters and drawings which really stood out and they’ll serve an important purpose and have pride of place on the entrance to the site.

“We’re determined to leave a positive legacy in Cross Hands, not just in the provision of new homes, but through the development of lasting partnerships in the community.”
