THE NATIONAL healthcare inspectorate has highlighted Werndale Hospital, part of Circle Health Group’s excellence in delivering safe, effective, and compassionate care to patients across West Wales. Healthcare Inspectorate Wales (HIW) provided an outstanding report following its recent unannounced inspection at the hospital.
The October report commended Werndale Hospital’s patient focused approach, noting how staff consistently treat patients with dignity and respect, creating a welcoming and supportive environment. Inspectors were impressed by the hospital’s commitment to ensuring that patients feel valued and empowered to make informed decisions about their care. Werndale’s culture of openness and team work was also highlighted, with HIW praising the hospital’s cohesive staff and proactive approach to maintaining high standards across all areas of the care provided.
In addition to recognising the quality of direct patient care, the HIW report emphasised the strength of Werndale’s operational practices and its emphasis on continuous improvement.
