Living Well event comes to Carmarthenshire

CARMARTHENSHIRE is gearing up for an exciting day dedicated to promoting health and happiness at Tumble Hall on Wednesday (18 September) from 10 AM to 2 PM. The Carmarthenshire Living Well event promises a lively experience, featuring over 30 stalls from various organisations, the health sector, local authorities, and third-sector organisations, all aimed at helping people of all ages live well.

Whether you’re interested in learning new wellness practices, improving your fitness, or discovering local services to support your health journey, this event has it all. Short sessions will be available for those who want to try something new and learn self-care techniques.

There will be ongoing activities, including Lindy Hop taster sessions, play activities provided by the Family Information Service, relaxation services, and Move Easy sessions run by the Expert Patient Programme. Dementia Friends training sessions will take place from 1 to 2 PM. To book a spot, please contact Susan Smith at [email protected]

In addition to the hands on activities, you can connect with representatives from different organisations. These professionals will be on hand to offer expert advice, share tips, and provide guidance on how to stay healthy and live well. They will also offer advice on maintaining this at home. Refreshments will be available during the sessions.

Carmarthenshire County Council’s Cabinet Member for Health and Social Services, Cllr Jane Tremlett, said: “The Living Well Event in Tumble is an excellent opportunity for people of all ages to socialise, have fun, and also learn about what is available in the local area to support them in living well.”

“Enabling our residents to live and age well is a well-being objective for the County Council and an ambition that requires us to work across many fields with various partners to achieve.”

The Living Well in Carmarthenshire events are part of the Living Well in Carmarthenshire Strategy consultation, providing the public with an opportunity to share their views on what living well means to them. For those unable to attend in person, feedback can be submitted online HERE.
