Llandeilo’s first ever Pride event expected to be huge success

LLANDEILO are hosting their first ever Pride event in July with a wide variety of activities taking place, guaranteed to entertain everyone.

Llandeilo has a rich history of running very successful festivals and events to draw people into the town.

A small group of local residents and business owners proposed setting up Llandeilo’s first LGBTQ+ Pride event and they hope to rely on the community’s support.

This event is for the whole town and community to celebrate how well they support each other from all backgrounds, not just the LGBTQ-community.

Llandeilo Pride is expected to take place on July 8

A parade will start at 12:30pm and will parade through Rhosmaen Street from CK’s car park to King Street.

It is followed by a festival which moves from venue to venue with different artists performing throughout the day.

Award-winning drag artist, Tina Sparkle, will be performing between 1pm and 3pm at Flows, on Market Street.

A music festival will also take place with a concert in the church in the evening.

A Classic Car Show will be running on King Street meaning King Street will be closed for traffic that day.

As well as a range of activities taking place on Saturday, there will be a Beyond the Border Storytelling Festival from Friday, July 7 to Sunday, July 9 at the National Trust Dinefwr Park.
