Cor Dyfed choir concert

A CAROL by Candlelight concert of Christmas music and readings, conducted by Luke Spencer and accompanied by organist Simon Pearce, in aid of The Paul Sartori Foundation will be given by Côr Dyfed Choir at St Davids Cathedral on December 10, at 7.30 pm.

The Paul Sartori Foundation was formed by a group of Haverfordwest parishioners in 1980 after the untimely death, at the age of 39, of Father Paul Sartori, their parish priest. Father

Sartori had recognised the need for hospice care in Pembrokeshire and in his memory his ideas were brought to fruition by his parishioners and friends with the establishment of The Paul Sartori Foundation.

From a home care service team of only six carers initially, the charity has grown immensely;

between April 2021 and March 2022 PSF provided 18,637 hours of care by means of day or

night respite and delivered 1385 items of equipment. 1044 patients accessed one or more of its clinical services during this time.

This was achieved despite the cancellation of many fundraising events and the temporary closure of its charity shops due to the Covid pandemic.

Côr Dyfed Choir is, therefore, delighted to assist the Foundation in their fundraising efforts to ensure that this valuable, vital and indispensable service continues. What could be better at this time of year than listening to the Choir in the inspirational atmosphere of St Davids Cathedral, knowing that all proceeds will go to such a worthy cause?
