Defendant who admitted ‘strangling and assaulting’ woman must stay out of Milford

A PEMBROKESHIRE man, who confessed to multiple offences against a woman, has been prohibited from entering Milford Haven after the postponement of his sentencing.

Darryan Edwards, aged 29, formerly residing in Johnston, has pleaded guilty to deliberately strangling and physically assaulting a woman on March 2 in Milford Haven.

Additionally, he has admitted to two counts of criminal damage to the victim’s property on April 10.

Furthermore, Edwards confessed to a charge of non-violent harassment, wherein he acknowledged making over 50 phone calls to the complainant between April 9 and 10.

The defendant, now residing on Jury Lane in Haverfordwest, was originally scheduled for sentencing on these offenses at Swansea Crown Court on Wednesday, May 24.

Nevertheless, following a mutually agreed application by the defence and prosecution, the sentencing was adjourned until June 7.

Edwards has been granted bail under the condition that he refrains from entering Milford Haven or making contact with the complainant.
