EVANS and Williams earned their place in the next round of the West Wales Cup on Saturday (Dec 3) as they beat Treboeth United 6-3.
The West Wales Premier League side went into the game on the back of three straight wins in all competitions while Treboeth had not played since their win in the previous round on November 12.
It took just five minutes for the home side to open the scoring as Sion Williams scored and on 13 minutes Bruno Forkuoh scored to double his side’s lead.
Evans and Williams made two changes midway through the first half and one of those who came on, Fraser Williams, scored to make it 3-0 on the stroke of half time.
And just two minutes into the second half Forkuoh added his second and Evans and Williams’ fourth to all but seal the win.
However, Liam Murphy pulled a goal back in the 50th minute and it was 4-2 soon after as Liam Manning scored.
Any hopes the Swansea side had of getting back level were dashed in the 67th minute as the home side were awarded a penalty. Forkuoh stepped up and scored to complete his hat trick and make it 5-2.
He scored his fourth eight minutes from time but Treboeth did not give up and Stephen Batcup pulled a third goal back in injury time.
Evans and Williams saw the game out and will now look forward to their game in the next round.
Before that, they return to action in the West Wales Premier League on Saturday, December 10, as they host Penlan.
