Four men arrested after serious assault in Swansea, street remains closed

FOUR men have been arrested following a serious assault that has led to the closure of a street in Swansea.

South Wales Police were called to Cwm Road in the Hafod area of the city shortly after 12:00 BST on Wednesday after receiving reports of a man with injuries.

The four men, all from Swansea, include a 31-year-old from Waun Wen, a 49-year-old from Gendros, a 37-year-old from Strand, and a 39-year-old from Morriston. They are currently in police custody as investigations continue.

Local residents have reported being unable to return to their homes due to the ongoing police presence and the active investigation at the scene.

South Wales Police have confirmed that Cwm Road is expected to remain closed for a significant period. The force has appealed to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has information to come forward.

Eyewitnesses have mentioned seeing an air ambulance landing nearby earlier in the day. There has also been a continuous police presence, with multiple cars and vans seen entering and exiting the area.

The police are urging the public to contact them with any information as the investigation continues into what has been described as a serious assault.
