Clarby prove too strong for St Clears

CLARBESTON Road earned their eighth win of the season on Saturday (Mar 18) as they beat St Clears 7-1 in Division 1 of the Pembrokeshire League.

Clarby were bottom of the table after five game but this win sees them move up to fourth place in the table.

They had beaten the Saints 4-0 in the reverse fixture and the first goal of Saturday’s game did not come until the 24th minute.

Rob Morgans scored and he added a second just two minutes later to put his side in control.

However, the Saints pulled a goal back through Jon Seeley and it remained 2-1 until half time.

Five minutes into the second half though the home side restored their two-goal lead with Ben John getting the goal.

Niall Kinsella added a fourth from the penalty spot before Morgans completed his hat trick in the 74th minute.

Josh Wood scored with eight minutes to go and Ben John added a second and Clarby’s seventh three minutes from time.

On Saturday, March 25, Clarbeston Road host Merlins Bridge while St Clears do not have a game.
