CRYMYCH will play Narberth Athletic in the final of this year’s Pembrokeshire Cup after they beat Fishguard in the semi final on Wednesday night (Apr 5).

Cup holders Crymych struck first as, from a line out, they pushed their way over with Carwyn Phillips getting the touch down. Adam Phillips then added the extras for a 0-7 lead.

Fishguard responded with a penalty but back came the visitors and Carwyn Phillips went over again for his second of the match. His namesake Adam could not add the extras on this occasion.

The home side added another penalty before the break and the half time score was 6-12 in favour of the visitors.

In the second half, Crymych extended their lead with another unconverted try. Eilir George spotted a gap and ran through, evading a couple of tackles before touching down.

Despite their efforts, Fishguard were unable to get back into the game and Crymych held on to book their place in the final.
