Fire service rush to garden shed fire in Pembroke Dock

EMERGENCY crews were in attendance of a garden shed fire in Pembroke Dock on Friday morning (Feb 24).

Plumes of smoke could be seen from all directions, prompting several calls to 999.

Dramatic pictures taken by passers by showed the structure well alight.

Ryan Luff sent in the dramatic photos of the blaze to The Pembrokeshire Herald. He said: “My friend Joe Gibb attended the fire, he called the emergency services and knocked on surrounding doors to evacuate people, as the garage was very much ablaze.”

A spokesperson from Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service said: “At 7.09am on Friday, February 24th, crews from Pembroke Dock and Milford Haven were called to an incident in Pennar, Pembroke Dock.

“On arrival, 2 domestic sheds with mixed materials inside were well alight and the fire had spread to garden fencing.  Both sheds and the fence were completely destroyed by fire, crews extinguished using 4 breathing apparatus sets, 3 hose reel jets, 1 thermal imaging camera and 1 water bowser.  Crews then continued to dampen down.
