Hakin prove too strong for Fishguard

HAKIN United proved too strong for Fishguard on Saturday (March 11) as they earned a 4-1 win at Tregroes Park.

The Vikings won the reverse fixture at The Obs and it took them only nine minutes to open the scoring in Saturday’s game.

It was Leon Luby who got the goal and they doubled their lead midway through the half as Jack Britton set up Adam John to score Hakin’s second.

Hakin held on to their two-goal lead until half time but Fishguard held hopes of mounting a second half comeback.

Despite their efforts they were unable to find a goal and in 72nd minute Jack Britton scored to all but seal the points for the visitors.

Britton then turned provider again as he set up Garin Gardner to score seven minutes later to make it 4-0.

Scott Edwards did pull a goal back for the home side in injury time but it was just a consolation for Fishguard.

On Saturday, March 18, Hakin United host Kilgetty while Fishguard are without a game.
