Lawrenny edge Letterston to reach Division 3 Cup final

LAWRENNY booked their place in the final of the Third Division Cup on Saturday (March 4) as they beat Letterston 3-2.

The game was played at a neutral venue and hosted by Carew.

It was Lawrenny who scored first as Sam Davies scored after ten minutes. Jordan Gorman doubled the lead seven minutes later to put his side in a strong position.

They held on to their lead until the break but they knew they would face a fight back from Letterston in the second half.

And twenty minutes in they pulled a goal back with Adam Lawrence scoring.

They were level ten minutes later thanks to a goal from James George and the prospect of extra time and penalties loomed.

However, just three minutes after, Lawrenny regained the lead thanks to a goal from Owen James.

Letterston were unable to find another equaliser as Lawrenny held on to seal their place in the final.

They will play the winners of the second semi-final between Haverfordwest Cricket Club and Camrose. That game is being played on Saturday, March 11, at the neutral venue of St Ishmaels.
