KILGETTY-born Liam Cullen has been called up to the Wales squad for the upcoming European Championship qualifiers.

Cullen has been in fine form for Swansea City, scoring in the Swans’ 2-0 win over Bristol City on Sunday (Mar 18), his sixth goal of the season so far.

He has also netted in games against Birmingham City and Sunderland and he also has one assist to his name.

Cullen will now be hoping he can do enough to impress Rob Page to earn a place in the starting line up for the qualifiers against Croatia and Latvia.

He was called up alongside Mark Harris after Wayne Hennessey withdrew from the squad while Nottingham Forest’s Brennan Johnson will be assessed on Thursday.

Wales play Croatia on Saturday, March 25, kick off at 7:45 before playing Latvia at the Cardiff City Stadium on Tuesday, March 28.
