Merlins Bridge earn win over St Clears

MERLINS Bridge earned their second win in a row on Saturday (Mar 11) as they beat St Clears 4-0 at the Pembrokeshire Sports Village.

The Wizards had earned a 4-1 win in the reverse fixture but on Saturday, the game was still goalless at half time.

The Saints put in a spirited performance and had a couple of chances which they were unable to capitalise on.

The first goal of the game came five minutes into the second half and it was Jamie Palmer who scored to put the Wizards ahead.

Seven minutes later they doubled their lead with young striker Lewis Miller scoring for the second game running.

Lee Hudgell then grabbed the Wizards’ third goal to all but seal the win for the home side.
