A FORMER priory in the UK’s smallest city of St Davids, west Wales is now offering B&B as well as exclusive use on a self-catering basis.
Immaculately restored reflecting its history and former use,19th century Penrhiw Priory lies in acres of tranquil gardens and woodland in St Davids cathedral valley.
The eight bedrooms can be booked individually for B&B or the entire property exclusively for up to 16 guests.
The main building is home to six ensuite bedrooms as well as a comfy lounge, dining room and domestic kitchen. Just a few steps from the main building with its own private terrace, the original Coach House has been converted into a spacious ground floor bedroom for two with a smaller double room above, making a two-bedroom suite.
Penrhiw’s luxurious interiors have been designed with extreme comfort in mind providing a backdrop for the contemporary artworks on display throughout the building and gardens.
A range of natural holistic treatments to relax the body and mind can also be arranged as well as various activities from guided walks, driver tours and coastal foraging to more challenging coasteering and kayaking. Guests can also book a star gazing or bird watching hamper to make the best of Penrhiw’s grounds, which are secluded from light pollution and a haven for wildlife.
Overnight stays start from £125 per night for two sharing (£63pppn) including continental breakfast. Minimum two-night stay at weekends from April to October.
Exclusive self-catering stays are priced from £1,100 (£69pppn) per night for the entire house; minimum two-night booking November to March and three-nights April to October. Reductions available for smaller groups and longer stays.
