Police confirm man died in Neyland incident

POLICE have confirmed a fatality following Neyland incident on Sunday.

A large police presence was witnessed in High Street, Neyland on Sunday afternoon, October 16.

Parts of the street were cordoned off whilst police, the fire service and crews from the Welsh Ambulance Service dealt with the incident.

A spokesperson from Dyfed-Powys Police confirmed that they were called to an address following concerns for the welfare of a man. Sadly, the male passed away at the scene.

The death is not being treated as suspicious and next of kin have been notified.

In a statement they said: “Police attended a property in High Street, Neyland, Milford Haven, on Sunday October 16th,following concern raised for the welfare of a man.

“Sadly the man had passed away at the scene. Next of kin have been advised.

“The death is not being treated as suspicious.”

A spokesperson for Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service said: “On Sunday 16th October at 12:21 crews from Pembroke Dock and Milford Haven attended an incident on High Street, Neyland.

“2 breathing apparatus, 1 hose reel jet, 1 gas monitor and PPV fan in use to ventilate property.  Police also on scene and crews left the incident at 13:12.”
