Saints beat Llangwm for fifth win

ST DAVIDS earned their fifth win of the season on Saturday (Mar 4) as they beat Llangwm 25-14 at Pill Parks.

The Saints had won the reverse fixture between the two sides earlier in the season by 45 points to 15 but they came up against a Llangwm side determined to avenge that loss on Saturday.

However, they built up an 8-0 lead in the first half and added to the score in the second to seal a league double over the Wasps.

Ian Griffiths and Matthew Rees scored tries for the Wasps but they could not contain the Saints who scored further second half tries to take the win.

Nathan Foster (back row and skipper), Zak Morgan (wing) and Aled Davies (second row) all scored tries for the Saints.

Full back Adam Phillips added the extras and the win sees them cement their seventh placed position in the League 3 West A table.

St Davids are in action again on Friday night (Mar 10) as they travel to promotion-chasing Aberaeron for a game that kicks off at 7:30pm.

Llangwm are next in action on Saturday, March 25, when they visit Laugharne for another league game.
