IF YOU haven’t booked your tickets for SaundersFEST yet, you’d better get your skates on – they’re selling like hot Welsh cakes on St David’s Day!
Celebrating live music, the community and supporting a number of charities and good causes, SaundersFEST is an exciting new event coming to Saundersfoot on the weekend of July 7-9 .
As well as many free live music events throughout the village, there is also a main stage on the King George V sports field with several acts – including Mark and Wynne Evans who are headlining on Sunday. And that’s not all, you won’t believe the line up with pop, ska, choirs and a 17-piece, shanty band of pirates – all performing over one weekend!

Sara Hicks, one of the Marketing Team for the event, said: “We are very lucky to have a great media team with Guy Willet of Pembrokeshire Web Design and Andrew Lowe of Signature Design for Marketing and Simon Beard all working hard behind the scenes to make sure everything looks great and runs smoothly”
The organising team are all working on a voluntary basis and many local businesses have come forward to help fund the event – with special mention to the main sponsor The Royal Oak pub and Puffin Cottage Holidays who are the accommodation partner and who have been on board right from the start.
“Everyone on the team is working hard to make sure the first SaundersFEST is a big success” says Chris Williams, local Councillor and the driving force behind the event.
“We hope that this not only is a fabulous weekend of entertainment but that we will also be able to raise a substantial amount of money for good causes”.
SaundersFEST is definitely going to be a great ‘feel good’ event – so if you hadn’t planned to spend that weekend in Saundersfoot, make sure you do now!
