TENBY United kept pace with the top three in League 2 West following their win over Kidwelly on Saturday (Mar 4).

Kidwelly went ahead in the first half with a converted try and then added to that with a penalty.

Cam Broadhurst then went over for Tenby’s first try of the game and Lloyd Thomas then added the extras to keep the home side in the game.

It was 7-10 at the break after a good first half between two strong teams.

Tenby then levelled at the start of the second half with a penalty from Thomas and he added a second soon after to put Tenby 13-10 ahead.

Back came Kidwelly though and they regained the lead with a converted try.

However, Dan Colley then made his way over for Tenby’s third try to put his side back ahead and Gwion Jones added the extras to make the score 20-17.

Thomas added a further penalty to stretch the lead to six points and they were able to hold on for the win.

The win for Tenby moves them to within a point of third placed Mumbles. Their next game sees them travel to Mumbles on Saturday, March 25.
