Division 1 round-up: Wins for Carew and Fishguard

CAREW and Fishguard both earned wins on Saturday (Jan 28) as they both improved their standings in the Division 1 table.

Carew’s 2-1 win over Clarbeston Road sees them move up to fourth place in the table.

Clarby’s Niall Kinsella opened the scoring in the fourth minute but Adam Muskett equalised shortly before half time.

It looked as if the game would finish level but in the 90th minute, Sonny Phillips got the winning goal for the visitors.

Fishguard earned a narrow 1-0 win over bottom of the table St Clears to move themselve up to seventh place in the table.

Iwan Lilley got the only goal of the game in the 16th minute to earn his side their first win since November 12.

On Saturday, February 4, St Clears host Neyland while Fishguard are without a game due to other sides being involved in the West Wales Cup.

Carew are one of those in action in the West Wales Cup as they host Waunarlwydd Galaxy. Clarbeston Road are in league action as they visit Pennar Robins.
