Rugby: National League action returns this weekend

FOLLOWING a break for the final two Six Nations games, rugby in Wales’ National Leagues will return on Saturday, March 25.

Some teams have played rearranged fixtures during the two-week break but for many it will be a first outing since March 4.

The WRU Championship returns with leaders Pontypool hosting bottom side Tata Steel and second placed Neath hosting Trebanos.

Narberth visit Beddau, Cardiff Met host Bedwas and third placed Bargoed travel to Maesteg Quins. Saturday’s other game sees Ystalyfera hosting Glamorgan Wanderers.

League 1 West leaders Crymych travel down to Pembroke for a Pembrokeshire derby. Whitland welcome second placed Newcastle Emlyn while Llangennech host Penclawdd.

Gowerton host Aberystwyth, Felinfoel host Gorseinon and Hendy host Llanelli Wanderers.

Pontarddulais lead the way in League 2 West and they make the trip west to face Pembrokeshire side Fishguard.

Second placed Mumbles host Tenby United and Nantgaredig travel to Loughor. Milford Haven host Tycroes and Carmarthen Athletic take on Burry Port.

In League 3 West A, Aberaeron host Llanybydder, Cardigan take on Haverfordwest and Laugharne take on Llangwm.

In League 3 West B, leaders Amman United host third placed Furnace United while second placed Trimsaran host bottom side Bynea.

Betws take on Tumble, Llandeilo face Llangadog and New Dock Stars are at home against Cefneithin.

The other fixture sees Penygroes hosting Llandybie.
