Self-employed Pembrokeshire builder admits possessing cannabis

Andrew Brown was found in possession

A self-employed Pembrokeshire builder has appeared before Haverfordwest magistrates after admitting being in possession of the illegal Class B drug, cannabis.

Andrew Brown, 53, was stopped by police officers on January 26 as he drove his vehicle through Clarbeston Road. When spoken to by officers, he confirmed that he had a quantity of cannabis in his trouser pocket which amounted to a total of 1.45 grams.

Brown, who gave his address as The Old Picton Inn, was represented in court by Mr Michael Kelleher. He informed magistrates that his client is currently unable to work after breaking his knee in December 2022.

After listening to the evidence, Brown was granted a conditional discharge for the next 12 months.

A destruction order was imposed for the cannabis and he was ordered to pay £85 costs and a £26 surcharge to the court.
