Senior Cup: Ferney’s double hat trick sends Tenby through

TENBY’S Scott Ferney scored a double hat trick to send his side through to the next round of the Senior Cup.

Tenby earned big wins over Haverfordwest Cricket Club in Division 3 last season and it didn’t take them long to open the scoring on Saturday.

Ferney scored after 3 minutes and then ten minutes later he scored again from the penalty spot.

And just a minute after that he completed his hat trick to make it 3-0.

Jacob Hipkiss added Tenby’s fourth on the half hour mark before Ferney scored his fourth and fifth goals before the break.

With the score at 6-0 at half time the game was all but won.

Ferney then grabbed his sixth goal seven minutes into the second half.

Billy Lawrence then added Tenby’s eighth goal on the hour mark.

The Cricket Club did not give up and they were given a penalty in the 63rd minute. Simon Owens stepped up to score the spot kick.

There was no further scoring as Tenby booked their place in the next round.
