Senior Cup: Milford United come from behind to beat Lawrenny

MILFORD UNITED are through to the second round of the Senior Cup after they beat Lawrenny on Saturday (Oct 22).

It was Lawrenny who opened the scoring through Gary Morris as the Division 3 side threatened an upset.

However, Milford turned the game around with two goals in three minutes.

Ieuan Hawkins scored first after 25 minutes and Scott Griffiths then put the Division 2 side ahead.

They held on to their lead until the break and it took them two minutes of the second half to add to the scoring.

Liam Parks grabbed the goal and he scored again with twenty minutes to go to all but seal the win.

Liam Parr then made it 5-1 with thirteen minutes left to play.

In the 84th minute Milford were awarded a penalty and Parr converted to make it 6-1.

On Saturday, October 29, Milford United return to action in Division 2 with a trip to Solve.

Lawrenny are also in action in Division 3 as they host Goodwick United seconds.
