St Davids man admits making indecent Category A photographs of a child

A 46-year-old man is to appear before Crown Court for sentence after admitting making Category A photographs of a child at an undisclosed location in St Davids.

Jeremy Phillips has been charged with making a total of 1,051 photographs of a child between October 13, 2018, and December 2, 2021. These included images in the most serious A category as well as further images in both Categories B and  C.

Phillips, of Swn y Mor, St Davids, pleaded guilty to three charges of making the indecent photographs of a child when he appeared before Haverfordwest magistrates earlier today (Tuesday).

Following a request from the Crown Prosecution, magistrates declined jurisdiction in the case and committed Phillips to Swansea Crown Court for sentence.

This has been listed to take place on April 4.

Magistrates ordered that Phillips be placed on the sexual offenders’ register within three days.

No legal representations were made by his solicitor, Mr Tom Lloyd.
